(aka my psychotic cries for help)
(good stuff... about me, usually) Wow!! These pages were officially declared the GEEK OF THE WEEK site by BSOB.net for the week of October 1, 2000. I am so proud!! *sniff* I would like to thank the Geekademy... Couple of months ago, I noticed over 300 hits on the ol' website the previous month from some new place I'd never heard of... and hits to new pages that normally don't get hits. Well, I managed to track down why, and I am borderline speechless... there was a rave forum where someone posted a list of ways to know you were a geek, and number 50 was "You look like this:" next to my picture!! It was here, but has since disappeared. I just wanna know how the poster found my page in the first place... I'm certainly not into the rave scene at all, heck I can't/won't/don't/hate to dance so perhaps I really don't even wanna know how they found that! hehehe... I'm back at TNG/inetUSA! doing web pages... who'da thunkit?? Things going very well, I am finally really enjoying my job... The OV-10 model has been started, working on it very slowly lately due to chronic busyness... My slope-soaring page was mentioned in the April 2000 issue of Model Aviation magazine (page 17, I'm the Florida listing), so far as I know it's the first mention of my site in a major (over a few thousand copies) type of publication... survived Killer Arthropods at Ichetucknee... woohoo! (And yeah, I'm sick of the damn music on this site too. I'll nuke it when I get a chance. Might take a year, but I'll do it. Eventually. Whatzamatta, your escape key doesn't work?)
(or week, or month, or however long it takes to hear more good ones.) The quotes have been supplemented by the List of Scary Phrases. You can also see the previous quotes
"I loved that little girl, but her mother convinced her I would never amount to anything." These are the voyages of the Starship Enterpr... Oooooops, wrong script. Um... where was that disclaimer... ummm... oh yeah, here it is. *ahem* I reckon that these here webpages are the personal homepages of Mike Whaley (merlin@ov-10bronco.net) and everything in this here area, the /users/merlin/ area that is, is all his fault and nobody else's, unless he done gone and tell you different. This site is hosted by OV-10Bronco.Net, however the rantings, ravings, advice, truths, half-truths, outright lies, tall tales, short stories, hearsay, and opinions expressed under the /users/merlin/ section do not necessarily reflect the opinions of any other entities associated with OV-10Bronco.Net or any of its sponsors or contributors. Yell at me if you want to, but that's just the way it is. So there.
