Hurricane Information on the Web|
(It'll blow you away!)
Hurricanes hit Florida fairly frequently, and although it often turns out to be a false alarm, the damage and death potential of these storms is immense. So, it is definitely something that all residents of the Southeast and Eastern United States need to be aware of. Hurricane season is from June to November, rarely tropical storms do form at other times.
I do not have the time to track every single hurricane, typhoon, cyclone, tropical storm, and leaky lawn sprinkler in the world. But I will provide links that are of general interest and as storms approach near Florida, I will attempt to keep this page updated with any news. Basically, when a storm threatens the US, you can use this page to link to the sources of info... and sorry but I'm going to concentrate mostly on Florida, because that's where I am!
Here are vital links you need for keeping informed about Hurricanes and tropical storms. Please take hurricanes seriously... I'll spare you the full sermonette, but I saw the aftermath of Andrew and if you think they aren't a big deal you're a freakin' nut and you're WRONG WRONG WRONG.
NOTE!! This page lists ONLY information and links specific to tropical storms and hurricanes, and NOT the weather links you can generally use year-round. Those are on my Florida Weather page. To get the complete weather picture when a hurricane or tropical storm threatens, you should use BOTH pages together!!
