Good grief...

By Mike Whaley

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the friends and family of Peanuts creator Charles Shulz, who passed away Feb. 12 on the eve of the publication of the final Peanuts strip. He gave the entire world a wonderful gift with Peanuts and he even gave his blessings for Snoopy to represent the 20th TASS as nobody else could. Every pilot (and would-be pilot) in the world has aspired to fly as high and as far as Snoopy the Great World War One Flying Ace... but nobody ever will. Godspeed, Charles, you left the world a better place. (02/21/00)
