24 September 2000 It is with great pleasure and pride that I formally announce the formation of the Philippine Wing of the OV-10 Bronco Association, (PWOBA). The acceptance of this agreement was signed by me via Email on 21 September 2000 and informally announced at the FAC Assn. meeting at Hulbert Field, Florida on the 21st.
The Philippine Wing is composed of combat qualified OV-10 pilots (including the first combat qualified female Philippine Air Force pilots) of the 16th Attack Squadron of the Philippine Air Force. There are additional non-organic pilots attached to the squadron for flying. The president of the PWOBA is Captain Silvestre U. Glinoga (agila@cavite.net).
The inclusion of the Philippine Wing in our organization contributes significantly to our goal of being the premier OV-10 association in the world. We are keenly aware of this group of pilot's current operations and wish them success and safety in the conduct of their missions.
We look forward to a mutually productive and rewarding partnership with our new wing and recognize the synergy of all our various elements as the key to our future success.
